Final Announcement
| The official language of the Conference is English. All sessions will be held at the Conference Hall of the TOK Hotel complex "Chayka". The Conference Hall will be equipped with slide and overhead projectors. (2 or more multimedia projector) The registration desk will be open during 9.00 a.m. 6.00 p.m. from September 15 to September 18, 2008 in the lobby near entrance of the TOK Hotel complex "Chayka". Pre-registration fee (before August 10, 2008) is US$400, and late registration fee is US$450; registration fee for accompanying persons is US$250. Registration fees include: participation in all scientific sessions at the Conference; all printed materials of the Conference; conference dinner, coffee-breaks at sessions, and the main excursion programme. The participants of the Conference should be aware that a hotel accommodation is not included into registration fees. Hotel reservation will be made according to participant's arrival and departure plans.
The Organizing Committee can arrange cheaper but not sufficiency comfortable dwelling. In general, both a valid passport and Ukrainian visa are required for entry into Ukraine, however, citizen of the countries having a special agreement with Ukraine don't need visas. A visa may be obtained at Ukrainian Embassy or Consulate. Registration/Hotel Reservation Form Information about materials of Conference.The materials of the Conference will be published in Special Issue of Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics printed by IOP. A topical issue of Journal of Optics A: Pure and Applied Optics (Journal of Optics) will be devoted to papers reporting new and challenging results in the field of Singular Optics. Topics treated in the special issue will include but are not limited to: - Fundamentals of singular optics. - Singular beams in free propagation. - Generation of optical singularities. - Broadband optical singularities. - Fiber singular optics and optical singularities in crystals. - Nonlinear singular optics. - Dynamic singular optics. - Singularities in partially coherent fields. - Singular optics technique and metrology. - Applications of singular optics. The issue is open to the whole research community but will also include selected papers presented at the 4th International Conference on Singular Optics The Guest Editors are: Mark Dennis, University of Bristol Yuri Kivshar, Australian National University Marat Soskin, Ukraine National Academy of Sciences Grover Swartzlander, Arizona University Alexander Volyar, Vernadsky Taurida National University It is their aim to attract the most active researchers in the field to contribute to the topical issue, and to make it an important reference point in the development of singular optics research. The Guest Editors have suggested inviting you and your research group, as internationally recognized experts in the field, to contribute to this topical issue. To raise the visibility of this research field, all papers will be made freely available for 6 months through the journal's website. Deadline of the submission - Friday 10 October 2008. Paper lenght - between 5 and 10 journal pages (assume 900 words per journal page and a 150 to 300 word allowance for each figure). All papers will be peer reviewed, and the normal refereeing standards of Journal of Optics will be maintained. |
